RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
Shelby is the kind of player the Dolphins crave. He is part of the defensive line rotation and produces even in a limited role. His play will allow the Dolphins to keep players like Cameron Wake and Ndamukong Suh fresh as both the games and season move along.
Shelby hasn't missed a game in his two seasons with Miami but has yet to make a big impact along the defensive. He is part of a rotation that the Dolphins like to use to keep all of their players fresh and is unlikely to have a breakout season in 2014.
Shelby had eight tackles in 16 games for Miami last season and will be on the roster bubble all through training camp. If he makes the team it will be because of his play on special teams.
