Chambers signed a contract with the Eskimos on Thursday.

Chambers was drafted No. 6 by the Edmonton back in 2012, and he will now return to the team he won a Grey Cup with. He was hampered by injuries during his 2016 season with Saskatchewan, but was able to haul in 25 passes for 269 yards and one touchdown in six starts. Chambers' return to Edmonton should see an increase in production as long as he can remain healthy.

Chambers will again start at wide receiver in Friday's game against the Eskimos.

Chambers worked as a reserve the last couple weeks, but he will be part of the Roughriders' starting lineup in Week 10 with Rob Bagg banged up and John Chiles no longer on the roster. Chambers has totaled 17 receptions for 164 yards and a touchdown in six games this season.

Chambers is inactive for Thursday's game against the Stampeders.

It was announced Wednesday that Chambers would be backing up Nic Demski on Thursday. However, Chambers now finds himself on the two-man reserve, meaning he will be inactive Thursday. He will look to return Aug. 13 at home against Calgary.

Chambers was demoted to backup for Thursday's game against Calgary.

Despite having the best game of his season last week, catching six passes for 72 yards, Chambers will back up Nic Demski on Thursday.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Chambers caught six passes for 72 yards in Friday's blowout loss to the Alouettes.

Quarterback Mitchell Gale was ineffective at best under center, but Chambers was still able to haul in a decent stat line. The fifth-year player doubled his catch total on the season with the performance though, so even if first-string QB Darian Durant is able to return next week, Chambers will likely have trouble repeating this kind of production.

Chambers is listed on the Roughriders' depth chart and will start Friday night against the Alouettes.

Chambers missed last week's win over the Redblacks due to a hamstring injury, but has now been cleared to return to action on Friday night. The 27-year-old has six receptions for 43 yards and one touchdown in three games this season.

Chambers (hamstring) has been ruled out of Friday's game against the Redblacks, SN broadcaster Farhan Lalji reports.

Chambers left Saturday's loss to the Lions with the hamstring injury, which will land him on the one-game injury list for Friday's tilt with Ottawa. In his absence look for Ricky Collins Jr., John Chiles, and Nic Demski to pick up the slack.

Chambers left Saturday's game with an undisclosed injury, Lee Jones of CTV Regina reports.

Chambers was held without a catch before going to the locker room with an injury in the first half. The severity or location of the injury have yet to be released, but we should hear more later in the week. The Roughriders next game is on Friday versus the Redblacks, so Chambers will have just under a week for rest and recovery.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Chambers caught six passes for 43 yards and a touchdown in Friday's loss to the Eskimos.

He made his mark Friday against his former club, and Chambers has an opportunity to move up an unsettled Roughriders' depth chart at receiver if he continues producing. Given his lackluster four seasons in Edmonton and the fact that he failed to catch a pass in Saskatchewan's first game however, Chambers still has a lot to prove before he'll be considered even a semi-reliable fantasy option.
